NTM Showcases Mini-MAS at IFAT Munich 2026

Last week, all eyes in the refuse collection world were on IFAT Munich 2026, the industry’s biggest international trade fair for environmental innovation and sustainability. Among the crowds, conversations, and cutting-edge technology, the NTM team arrived with a clear message: big impact does not always need a big vehicle.

NTM Showcases Mini-MAS at IFAT Munich 2026

Taking centre stage on the stand was the Mini-MAS, NTM’s compact food waste collection vehicle designed specifically for busy urban environments. Built to tackle narrow streets and densely populated areas, the Mini-MAS brings flexibility and efficiency to places where larger RCVs can struggle.

Small, agile, and purpose-built for modern city life, the Mini-MAS is part of a growing shift in waste collection. As cities work towards cleaner operations and more sustainable solutions, there is increasing demand for vehicles that are not only efficient, but also adaptable to changing urban environments. The vehicle had already built strong momentum in the UK ahead of the exhibition, where demand for dedicated food waste collection solutions continues to grow. That success made IFAT 2026 the perfect opportunity to introduce the Mini-MAS to a wider European audience.

And the mission was definitely a success.

Throughout the event, the Mini-MAS attracted plenty of attention from visitors, customers, and industry professionals keen to learn more about smarter urban collection solutions. The vehicle sparked conversations around the future of food waste collection and highlighted how compact vehicles can play a major role in helping cities operate more efficiently and sustainably.

NTM’s presence at IFAT was about more than showcasing products. It was an opportunity to demonstrate the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and to supporting the evolving needs of cities and waste operators across Europe.

Managing Director Grahame Jones summed up the week perfectly: “The response to the Mini-MAS has been fantastic. People immediately understood the need for a vehicle like this in urban environments. It’s compact, practical, and designed for the realities of modern city collection.”

Alongside NTM’s wider RCV range, the Mini-MAS stood out as a clear example of practical innovation in action. It may be one of the smaller vehicles on the road, but at IFAT 2026 it made a big impression, helping showcase a smarter and more sustainable future for food waste collection.
